Customer Terms and End User Licence Agreement

1. Operator and scope

Vastanex is provided by IT-Street GmbH, Aurikelweg 145, 50259 Pulheim, Germany.

These terms govern the installation and use of the Vastanex desktop application and apply to the Free and Pro editions.

By installing or using Vastanex, the user agrees to these terms. If the user acts on behalf of an organisation, the user confirms that they are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

2. Licence to use Vastanex

Subject to these terms, IT-Street GmbH grants the user a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use Vastanex for the user's own internal personal or business purposes.

A Pro licence is licensed per user unless separate commercial terms agreed with IT-Street GmbH state otherwise.

The Free edition may be used without a time limit under the feature limits shown by Vastanex.

3. Free, trial and Pro features

The current feature distinction between Free and Pro is described on the Vastanex pricing page and inside the application.

Vastanex may provide a fourteen-day Pro trial without requiring a payment card.

A trial or Pro entitlement does not restrict access to the Free features after it expires.

Security and product update availability is not intentionally restricted to Pro customers.

4. Restrictions

The user must not:

• sell, sublicense or redistribute Vastanex except where separately authorised by IT-Street GmbH;
• circumvent or deliberately defeat licence or entitlement controls;
• use Vastanex in violation of applicable law;
• remove proprietary notices from the application or its distributed files.

Nothing in these terms restricts rights that applicable law expressly gives the user and that cannot legally be excluded, including any mandatory rights relating to interoperability or software examination.

5. Kubernetes access and operational responsibility

Vastanex works with Kubernetes clusters and credentials selected by the user.

Some Pro features can perform operational changes such as scaling, restarting, applying YAML, Helm actions, GitOps requests, drain operations, shell access or other cluster actions.

Vastanex provides safety gates, permission checks and confirmations, but the user remains responsible for:

• selecting the correct cluster and context;
• granting appropriate Kubernetes permissions;
• reviewing an operation before confirming it;
• maintaining appropriate backups, recovery procedures and operational safeguards.

Vastanex does not independently guarantee that a requested Kubernetes operation is appropriate for a particular production environment.

6. AI assistance

Vastanex can optionally use an AI provider configured by the user.

AI assistance is advisory only. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and must be reviewed by the user before it is relied on.

Vastanex does not automatically execute cluster changes from AI output.

Use of an external AI provider is also subject to that provider's own terms, privacy practices and charges.

7. Updates

Vastanex may check for software updates when the user enables automatic checks or explicitly requests a check.

Update behaviour and supported update methods depend on the operating system and package type.

The application verifies Vastanex release integrity using the release-verification mechanisms implemented by the product.

8. Privacy

Information about website processing, application network behaviour, licence activation, update checks, AI requests and local diagnostics is described in the Vastanex Privacy Policy at /privacy/.

9. Third-party software

Vastanex includes and interacts with third-party open-source software.

The applicable third-party notices and licences are available inside the application and in the distributed notice information. Those components remain subject to their respective licences.

10. Availability and software behaviour

Software can contain defects and can behave differently across operating systems, Kubernetes versions, cluster configurations and third-party services.

IT-Street GmbH does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or statutory rights where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

11. Pro purchases and subscriptions

Current prices and purchase availability are shown on the Vastanex pricing page.

Until online checkout is enabled, Pro purchase requests are handled through the published Vastanex contact email.

Any additional commercial terms expressly agreed for a purchase take precedence over conflicting general wording in these terms for that purchase.

12. Ending use

The user may stop using Vastanex and uninstall it at any time.

Expiry or cancellation of a Pro entitlement removes access to Pro-only functionality after any applicable offline grace period but does not prevent continued use of the Free edition.

IT-Street GmbH may terminate a licence in the event of a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the product, licensing model or legal requirements materially change.

Where the application requires acceptance of a new EULA version, the new version is presented before continued use requiring that acceptance.

14. Applicable law

These terms are governed by German law to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Mandatory consumer-protection or other statutory rights that apply to a user remain unaffected.

Statutory rules determine the competent jurisdiction where they cannot validly be agreed otherwise.
